Well everyone... a lot has been going on in our lives lately. Here's a little update on the month of May so far. I don't have any idea why blogger won't let me upload more pictures than this, but if you want to see more, they're in our SmugMug account.
Brad graduated from USU in Speech Communications on the 8th of May. He didn't walk. Instead he played with Abbi while I took pictures for Smithfield City at their "Health Days" kiddy rodeo (I now am even more firmly set in never letting my kids mutton bust). I'm so proud of him and the hard work he does for our family! I can't believe that since we've had Abbi we was working 2 jobs and doing 18 credits at school, and still made time for us. He's amazing!
For Mothers Day we went up to Brigham City to my mom's grave. I'm glad that we're close enough that I can take Abbi there and teach her things about her Grandma Kay. I want her to grow up knowing that she has another Grandma that is an amazing woman and loves her just like her other Grandmas. We also got to visit with MY Grandmas Flamm and McFarlin. I'm so lucky that we live near them and Abbi can get to know them too. They mean so much to me.
We moved out of Cache Valley. I'm super bummed, but I love it here in Bountiful too. It's nice to have a selection of stores to choose from, but I hate being farther from most of Brad's family and all our friends. We're meeting a lot of new people here, and I LOVE our little house and neighborhood so it's getting more fun here.
I took some pictures for Smithfield City's "Health Days" celebrations. I was asked to photograph the Kiddy Rodeo. I am now even more set in never letting my kids mutton bust. Some of those parents were really, I mean REALLY intense ("You get on there and do this! You want to make me look stupid!? Stop crying, just hold on!"). Almost all of the kids cried (they were mostly ages 5-9). But some did have a ton of fun. You could tell which live on farms and which didn't.
I built a little "big girl bed" for Abbi using plans from Knock-Off Wood. It was so fun and she LOVES it. The first night I had to go in there 3 times...twice because she fell out and once because Kitty did. The second night I went to check on here and she was asleep on the floor, but we haven't had a problem since. I'm making a quilt for it so I'll show you all when it's done.
Brad's little brother BJ got home from his mission in London last week. Abbi feel madly in love with him at first sight and now wakes up asking for "DB" and continues asking about him all day. I think it's really cute. We're so excited that he's home and can't wait to hang out more with him.
It was Grandma Gerri's 80th birthday the same weekend that BJ got home so we all went down to the "Harding Hideaway" in Myton for a party. It was so fun! I love getting together with the Hardings even if they are all a little weird :). The little kids loved it. They got to run around and play in the dirt all day and no one got after them. It was like heaven for Abbi.
This past weekend we went to a Wedding Party for Brad's uncle Joesph. Brad's Grandma Yalta is Samoan so of course it was a luau! It was so fun! There was a big feast, then they some of the family do dances from each of the Polynesian islands. I loved it! And Abbi did too. She just ran around with a bunch of leis on and played with her cousins. We don't get to see that side of the family much so it was great to talk with everyone again.
It's been a busy month so far. We've had a blast, but it will be nice to get a little break.

I love the Brigham cemetery. Is that weird? My parents are from Brigham, so I've always gone there and walked around. I always said that's where I wanted to be buried. :)
That's cool you live in Bountiful now. I would like to live more south than here.
Cute bed you made!
you guys live in bountiful now? we are in bountiful too. we should get together sometime.
Hey Missy! It was a sad day for us leaving Logan too...such good memories there! We're in North Salt Lake now though and we really like it. We're so close, we should hang out!
P.S. That bed is adorable! Have you been to Brooks fabric in Bountiful yet? They have ADORABLE choices.
