I'm back!

Let us see if I can catch up with all our summer goings on with only one picture per event shall we?  Well actually, that's not going to work.  I just went and checked and I don't have enough photos from the summer converted to jpeg yet so you'll just get what I have done.  I think that much sounds better.

Since we've moved down the SLC way, we've taken Abbi to the Gateway to play in the splash fountain a few times.  She really likes her swimsuit and meeting new friends and saying hi to everyone, but she really dislikes the water.  We're going to take her swimming in a little while, so hopefully the water fear will be going away.

I took the opportunity of having Shilah and Clark over for games and treats to try out my new tripod.  I love game nights.  And on a side note...Shilah and Clark are now Mr & Mrs Anderson.  Yay!!!

I made these yummy chocolate pudding bowls one night.  Brad blew up a bunch of extra balloons then he and Abbi played "Happy Birthday Party"  for a good half hour at least.

We went over to my dads house a few times.  Once while we were there the boys went out to the "back 40" and played frisbee.  Abbi loved to run around in the grass.

We had a little get together at the Hardings one night.  The grand kids had a BLAST being pulled around the yard in a blanket.

While the kids were surfing the blanket, the boys were busy proving who was more manly by long jumping lawn chairs.  Brad won with 5.

Last weekend was pretty emotional for me.  David, my little brother, left for his first deployment to Iraq.  They held a little family event before the soldiers were loaded onto a bus and taken to the plane.  I was super sad to see him go, but I am so incredibly proud of him. He has been able to call me a few times since getting there, but it will be 9-12 months before I see him again :(  Good luck Dave!!!

I wanna see a picture of the chocolate pudding bowls. I've seen those on Bakerella, and they look really cool. Maybe I'll have to use them for ice cream sometime. Were they easy?

They were pretty easy. The only thing that I had problems with is that I didn't wait long enough for the chocolate to cool down. I'd dip the balloons and then about 40 seconds later they would pop. I spent most of the day cleaning chocolate splatters off my walls and ceiling.

Oh no! I didn't know Dave was deployed! I wish I had said good bye and given him a great big hug. Next time you talk to him will you tell him I am proud of him, and I can't wait to see him when he gets back? Thanks.

BTW, all the pics of Abbi are so cute, and I also love the one of Brad jumping the lawn chairs. Ha!
