Reading what I want to...

It's been a long time coming, but I can now say, "I'm finally done with school!" I can't believe I did it. I now have a BS in English Literature. After I got pregnant and I was only taking classes that weren't my favorite I really wanted to drop-out, but I only had 4 months left so Brad made me stay.

For the past 4 years I've only had time to read books that my professors told me too. Most were ok, even really good(the British Lit), but A LOT was just sad, depressing and long. I appreciate my experience with the canon of "good literature" but now I'm ecstatic to be able to read whatever I want, when I want, and not have to analyze every little word or situation in the novel so I can write a paper on it. And I'm taking advantage of that fact. In the past 3 days I've finished 2 books (and I have about 60 pages left in a third). I decided to catch up on juvenile fiction and give my brain a break from having to figure out unfamiliar words. I also wanted to keep a list of all that I read this summer (because I always forget) so I decided to keep the list here. If any body wants my opinion on any of the books let me know and I'll be happy to give it!

Congrats on graduating that is awesome!! I minored in ENglish so I know how much reading is done, it was exhausting! I saw you just read the Goose Girl you have to read Shannon Hale's new book "Book of a Thousand Days" I loved it! Also "A Great and Terrible Beauty" it's also a young adult novel, I LOVED IT and it has 2 more after that. Anyway that's my 2 cents!

You will love "Book of a Thousand Days!" Love it!! Also if you like Shannon Hale try "Princess Academy." Also have you read the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer? And congrats on graduation! Why did you decide to go to Cali?
