Abbi Update...

Abbi is a whole year old now and I haven't even told you guys all the fun things she can do now. I can't believe how big she is getting. We just had her year check up. She's 18 lbs (12%) and 31 inches (95%). Tall and skinny, just like her dad. Here are some things about Abbi at one year:

-She LOVES her stuffed cat named Gifford. She crawls around the house saying, "kitty" until she can find him.
-She loves to cuddle with her toys (especially Gifford). She hugs them real tight and sways back and forth. So cute.
-She can say daddy, kitty, ah-oh, and hi but refuses to say mama. Nothing I do can convince her to say it. Oh well, someday she'll appreciate me.
-She can walk...she just won't. She'll take about 3 steps, realize what she's doing and sit down.
-She loves her books more than any of her other toys (except Gifford). I'll let her play while I'm cleaning the kitchen or something and when I go to check on her she'll be surrounded by her books and her toys are all still in the same place I left them.
-She loves to climb up the stairs, but hasn't figured out how to go down yet. We're still working on that one.
-She LOVES Brad. She's always the happiest when he gets home from work and won't leave him alone. She just wants to play with her daddy.
-She's such a good eater. Her new favorite are apricots. I can't cut them up fast enough for her.
-She loves to talk. All day she'll be babbling away like everyone knows what she's talking about.
-She's cute and she knows it. She does anything for attention.
-Thanks to Brads influence she thinks the only purpose of a bed is to jump on.
-She loves being outside. If she starts being annoying, all I have to do is take her on a walk and she'll calm right down.
-She loves her naps. She lets me know when she's ready. I lay her down in her crib and hand her Gifford. She then looks at me with a face that clearly says, "you're excused" then rolls over and ignores me as I leave.
-She loves other little kids. They make her laugh and she just wants to get down and play with them.

There are so many more things that she does and that I love about her. I'm so glad that Brad and I have her all to ourselves for ever!

She is a cute girl! My name is Ashley I went to high school with Brad. We were all at Doug's wedding and Abbi and my son that is about 1 month older than her had a blast playing. She is such a sweet and kind girl she kept coming up to him and giving him hugs and kissing. Love the tutu picture!
